Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced senior academic researcher to lead our research programmes on the cellular and molecular mechanisms of Multiple Sclerosis (MS). The successful candidate will have a strong track record in MS research and experience in the use of human tissues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and lead a competitive research programme on the cellular and molecular mechanisms of MS
- Contribute to undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and training in neuropathology and neuroscience
- Establish and maintain international collaborative research programmes in neuroimmunology and neuropathology of MS
- Attract and manage substantial and sustainable research funding
Requirements:
- PhD in a relevant field
- International reputation in MS research
- Experience in the use of human tissues
- Strong track record in attracting research funding
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
