Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead by Example: Create an environment that supports the individual needs of all children, promoting a culture of inclusivity and respect.
  • Quality Assurance: Maintain systems to monitor, evaluate, and improve the quality of our childcare practices, ensuring compliance with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) requirements.
  • Communication: Maintain effective methods of communication with children, staff, parents, and carers, fostering open and positive working relationships.
  • Staff Development: Assist in agreeing and reviewing individual targets with staff, promoting a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.
  • Operational Management: Assume playroom and additional management responsibilities when required, ensuring the smooth operation of the nursery.
  • Financial Management: Keep costs in line with agreed budgets, ensuring the efficient use of resources.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications: Relevant qualifications in early years education or a related field.
  • Experience: Proven experience in a leadership role within a childcare setting, with a strong track record of improving quality and outcomes.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
  • DBS Check: An enhanced DBS check will be required for this role.
