Job Title: EC&I Maintenance Team Leader

We are seeking an experienced EC&I Maintenance Team Leader to join our team at The Oil and Pipelines Agency. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of Electrical and Instrumentation Technicians and overseeing the maintenance and inspection of Instrumentation and Electrical Systems across our assets.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Line Management of Electrical, Control and Instrumentation Technicians
  • Deputise for the EC&I Superintendent when required
  • Lead a team of EC&I Technicians and work with the relevant Depot Engineer
  • Ensure compliance with the Planned Preventative Maintenance schedule for Control, Instrumentation, and Electrical maintenance/inspections for all OPA assets via Agility (CMMS)
  • Oversee and lead maintenance and inspection upgrade programmes for all Instrumentation and Electrical systems across the OPA Assets
  • Develop and review management of safety instrumented systems and procedures
  • Write, Implement and Review Instrumentation and Electrical Maintenance related procedures and safety instructions
  • Hold the level of Competent Person Electrical, to operate and maintain the Low Voltage systems across the OPA assets
  • Identify and initiate Management of Change processes
  • Conduct audits on Instrumentation and Electrical systems, equipment, and maintenance strategies
Requirements:
  • Experience in Instrumentation and Electrical maintenance supervision
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Extensive knowledge around Instrumentation and Electrical Engineering Maintenance and Inspection Processes
  • Recognised Engineering Craft / Technician discipline apprenticeship around Electrical or Control & Instrumentation or equivalent
  • Minimum technical qualification of ONC / HNC in a relevant subject combined with 5 years post apprenticeship industry experience
