Job Title: Aerospace Safety Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced Health and Safety Manager to join our team at Anderselite Ltd. As an Aerospace Safety Manager, you will be responsible for providing functional Health, Safety and Wellbeing advice, guidance and coaching to our operational teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provide Health, Safety and Wellbeing advice, guidance and coaching to operational teams.
  2. Support the contract/project team in establishing and maintaining the highest levels of Health, Safety and Wellbeing.
  3. Advise on contract/project compliance with statutory provisions.
  4. Advise the contract/project team on competency requirements.
  5. Advise on the production, implementation and review of HSW plans.
  6. Ensure risk assessments and method statements (RAMS) are prepared and reviewed as necessary.
  7. Escalate significant and potentially significant incidents to HSW manager and contract/project lead.
  8. Undertake incident investigations in line with the incident investigation procedure.
  9. Maintain the incident management database.
  10. Ensure monthly HSW reports are completed and submitted.
  11. Review contract/project HSW trends with the contract/project lead.
  12. Conduct HSW audits and inspections as per the schedule.
  13. Assist the contract/project to close out actions/non-conformances from HSW audits and inspections.
  14. Work proactively to build and maintain relationships with contractors/subcontractors, designers, suppliers, clients, enforcement agencies and other relevant parties.
  15. Participate in the development, review, update and rollout of HSW processes and procedures.
  16. Support the business with work winning when requested.
  17. Promote and support a culture of continuous improvement.

Requirements:

Essential:
Previous experience in health and safety on complex civil engineering/infrastructure projects. Minimum NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent Technician, or Graduate membership of IOSH.

Desirable:
Working towards chartered membership of IOSH. NEBOSH Diploma, NEBOSH National Certificate in the Management of Health and Well-being at Work.
