We are proud to announce that our organization has partnered with Anthony Nolan to facilitate life-saving stem cell collection services. As an Apheresis Specialist Nurse, you will be based at our Clinical Research Facility, working closely with the Apheresis Nurse Manager and the CCC Lead Nurse to provide clinical care for patients and stem cell donors.
Main Responsibilities- Take responsibility for the care of donors/patients requiring specialist apheresis procedures under the guidance of the Apheresis Nurse Manager.
- Provide excellent, evidence-based nursing care for donors/patients, ensuring competent and knowledgeable practice within the speciality.
- Be competent in the care and management of peripheral venous catheters, central venous catheters, venepuncture, cannulation, intravenous drug administration, apheresis and blood product administration in accordance with clinical practice guidelines.
- First-level registration with the Nursing & Midwifery Council (NMC)
- Post-registration clinical experience in apheresis practices and procedures
