Electrical Maintenance Engineer - FMCG

Slough Location

Mars Wrigley is a dynamic and fast-paced environment where every day is different. As an Electrical Maintenance Engineer, you will be exposed to a variety of issues on a day-to-day basis, from basic mechanical breakdowns to highly complex electrical issues.

You will be joining our largest manufacturing site in the UK, where we produce 3 million Mars bars a day. Your main focus will be on providing equipment troubleshooting and reactive maintenance, as well as preventive maintenance activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and resolve electrical, controls, and mechanical issues on production machinery.
  • Perform root cause failure analysis on major unplanned breakdowns and recurring problems.
  • Undertake preventative maintenance activities, repairs, and filler jobs.
  • Work with engineering on specific electrical and/or controls projects from design to startup.
  • Provide technical support and coaching to assist others in the resolution of equipment failures with safety and quality in mind.

Requirements:

  • Strong electrical bias with control/automation skills and intermediate-level mechanical expertise.
  • Electrical engineering qualification, such as a served apprenticeship and/or HNC, NVQ, or equivalent.
  • Experience in diagnosing and resolving electrical, controls, and mechanical issues.
  • Experience in either FMCG or manufacturing environment (or similar) on industrial equipment.
