Job Title: Trainee Advanced Nurse Practitioner - Endoscopy Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Trainee Advanced Nurse Practitioner to join our Endoscopy Team at the Transformation Unit. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our endoscopy services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work autonomously to perform diagnostic and therapeutic upper and lower procedures, including TNE and Capsule Endoscopy.
  • Deliver practitioner-led clinics and provide high standards of patient care.
  • Participate in the delivery of formal JAG courses and contribute to the maintenance of JAG accreditation.
  • Work closely with the consultant and nursing teams to achieve national targets and ensure high-quality patient care.
Requirements:
  • RGN qualification.
  • JAG Accredited Upper and Lower GI Endoscopist.
  • Non-Medical Prescribing qualification.
  • Extensive experience and advanced knowledge within Gastroenterology/Endoscopy.
  • Experience in teaching and training of staff.
  • Involvement in nursing audit and research.
Skills and Abilities:
  • Ability to work and communicate effectively within a multi-disciplinary team setting.
  • Evidence of excellent patient documentation and record keeping skills.
  • Evidence of advanced communication skills including verbal, non-verbal and written.
  • Evidence of good IT skills including NHS systems/JETS/NED and endoscopy reporting system.
