Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Personal Injury Paralegal to join our team in Birmingham City Centre. As a Paralegal, you will play a key role in handling a caseload of Personal Injury claims, working closely with senior team members to prepare and manage complex cases.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage your own caseload of Personal Injury claims, ensuring timely and efficient resolution.
  • Assist senior team members with the preparation and management of more complex cases, providing support and guidance as needed.
  • Engage with clients, building rapport and trust through excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Run claims through the OIC portal, understanding the litigation process and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Produce schedule of loss statements, take witness statements, and assess/redact bank statements, demonstrating attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Work collaboratively with the team to achieve collective goals, providing support and contributing to a positive and productive work environment.
  • Focus on personal learning and development within the Personal Injury and Clinical Negligence field, staying up-to-date with industry developments and best practices.

Requirements:

  • 1-3 years' experience as a Paralegal or in a similar role, with a strong understanding of Personal Injury and Clinical Negligence law.
  • At least 1 year's experience in managing your own caseload, with a proven track record of success.
  • Knowledge of the OIC portal and litigation process, with the ability to navigate complex cases.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and colleagues.
  • Eagerness to take responsibility and a friendly, approachable nature, with a commitment to ongoing learning and development.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills, with the ability to meet deadlines and targets.
  • Strong IT skills, with proficiency in relevant software and systems.
