Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at Teaching Personnel. As a key member of our support staff, you will play a vital role in providing tailored support to students with special educational needs in a classroom setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support Student Learning: Provide individualized support to students with special educational needs, helping them to access the curriculum and achieve their academic potential.
  • Develop and Implement IEPs: Assist in the development and implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs) to meet the unique needs of each student.
  • Collaborate with Teachers: Work closely with teachers and other staff to create an inclusive learning environment that supports the social, emotional, and academic development of all students.
  • Monitor Progress: Regularly monitor and report on student progress, providing feedback to teachers and other staff to inform future support strategies.
Requirements
  • Experience Working with SEN Students: Previous experience working with children with special educational needs is essential for this role.
  • Strong Understanding of SEN Conditions: A strong understanding of various SEN conditions and effective support strategies is required to provide high-quality support to students.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are necessary to work effectively with students, teachers, and other staff.
  • Patience and Empathy: A patient and empathetic approach is essential for building strong relationships with students and supporting their emotional well-being.
  • Teamwork: The ability to work collaboratively as part of a team is vital for this role, as you will be working closely with teachers and other staff to support student learning.
