Duty Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Duty Manager to join our team at AF Blakemore & Son Ltd. As a Duty Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the Store Manager in leading and motivating a team of colleagues, ensuring excellent customer service, and contributing to achieving store sales and profitability.
Key Responsibilities:- Support the Store Manager in ensuring a safe, legal, and high-performing store environment.
- Assist in delivering all store operations, objectives, and KPIs.
- Manage, coach, and support colleagues, promoting a motivated and empowered team through a positive and engaging management style.
- Carry out performance management and absence management as necessary.
- Take responsibility for occasional opening and closing of the store, colleague safety, and stock/cash security/accountability during shifts.
- Conduct cash reconciliations, voids, and refunds, and other management tasks for till colleagues.
- Be a role model and lead the team to provide an exceptional customer experience, setting us apart from competitors.
- Work with colleagues to promote the store by identifying and acting on opportunities to engage with and support the local community.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures and processes.
- Previous management or supervisor experience within a food retail or similar fast-paced operation.
- Commitment to achieving and sustaining exceptional customer service standards.
- Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize effectively.
- Capacity to communicate and influence at all levels.
- Able to take appropriate action and make decisions.
- Commitment to promoting collaborative working.
- Enthusiasm and flexibility with a positive attitude.

- Competitive hourly rate of £12.50, plus bonus opportunity.
