About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Insurance Technician to join our team at Howden. As an integral part of our Operating Entity, you will provide crucial technical and administrative support to broking teams within niche Business Units.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and manage documentation with precision and in a timely manner.
  • Perform technical duties, including data entry, credit control, and follow-up on subjectivities.
  • Stay informed of regulatory and legal changes that impact the role, ensuring compliance.
  • Respond promptly and appropriately to urgent issues as they arise, providing effective solutions.
  • Interpret and implement instructions and issues in line with company policies and procedures.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with Business Units, encouraging teamwork.
  • Handle client renewals and mid-term adjustments as required, delivering high-quality service.
Requirements
  • Proficient in IT skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Capable of undertaking and demonstrating competence in technical training as required by industry regulations.
  • Prior experience in insurance or a customer-facing environment is preferred.
  • GCSE's (or equivalent) including English and Maths essential.
