The Role
We are seeking a skilled Kitchen Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and tidiness, adhering to current health and food hygiene legislation.
Key Responsibilities
- Thoroughly cleaning designated areas, sweeping and mopping floors, and ensuring all surfaces are hygienically cleaned.
- Cleaning fridges, shelving, food preparation areas, cupboards, and trolleys.
- Preparing the dishwasher for daily use and advising the manager of any faults or chemical requisitions required.
- Ensuring all dirty crockery and cutlery is cleared off service racks, washed, stacked correctly, or taken to the appropriate outlet.
- Maintaining designated machines and equipment, adhering to cleaning schedules, and removing rubbish, food waste, and recyclable materials.
- Adhering to legislative requirements, including those concerning food hygiene and health and safety at work.
Requirements
- A passion for delivering quality food using fresh ingredients to specification.
- High-volume experience providing quality food consistently in a fast-paced environment.
