Job Summary:
ASB Resources is seeking a highly skilled Database Consultant to join our team. As a Database Consultant, you will be responsible for designing and developing database systems that are efficient, scalable, and secure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop database systems that meet performance and scalability requirements, working closely with software developers and system administrators.
- Analyze an organization's data needs and identify the most appropriate database systems, designing and implementing database structures and ensuring data security and integrity.
- Have experience in backend data integration and architecture, including dimensional data modeling, database design, data warehousing, ETL development, and performance tuning with Microsoft Power BI.
- Experience in DB migration projects, including Oracle to SQL, with an understanding of designing and maintaining High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) options for SQL Server.
- Design the DB deployment strategy and DB maintenance across environments.
- Experience with Windows server, including Active Directory, and the ability to manage users and user access strategies integrated with the application.
- Focus on designing and maintaining data warehouses with large-scale repositories of data used for analysis and reporting, working closely with data analysts and business intelligence professionals.
- Have experience in designing and implementing solutions for managing data in the cloud, with experience in working on AWS RDS being an advantage.
- Ensure data security and integrity by implementing security protocols such as encryption, access controls, and data backup and recovery procedures, and ensure that the data is accurate, consistent, and up-to-date by implementing data quality and data validation rules.
- Automate regular processes, track issues, and document changes.
Requirements:
- Strong experience in database design, development, and implementation.
- Experience in backend data integration and architecture.
- Knowledge of database management systems, including relational databases and data warehousing.
- Experience with data security and integrity protocols.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
