We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Electrician/Pump Engineer to join our team at Igne Group Ltd.
About the Role:This is a hands-on role that requires the ability to design, develop, and maintain electrical control systems and components to required specifications. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, installing, and maintaining electrical wiring systems for all types of Waterwell projects.
Key Responsibilities:- Undertake the role of Site Supervisor on projects requiring multiple engineers.
- Diagnose and repair electrical, pumping, and treatment faults in commercial and domestic borehole systems.
- Undertake borehole pump testing, including mechanical and electrical connections and testing.
- Install borehole pumping and control systems on newly installed Domestic and Commercial borehole water supplies.
- Assess the parts needed for a job and place orders for those parts.
- Conduct routine maintenance and testing on commercial and domestic borehole systems, and ensure installations are to manufacturer standards.
- Re-wire faulty electrical systems on water pumping systems, including water treatment.
- Ensure good quality workmanship, which upholds company standards, complies with private water regulations, and follows safety requirements.
- Work alone to find and present faults and concerns in borehole electrical systems without receiving explicit direction.
- Install electrical systems to 18th edition wiring regulations, including installing borehole pump power supplies from new and existing power supplies.
- Ensure smooth running of day-to-day operations while compliant with statutory regulations, CDM regulations, and good practice through the monitoring of standards and maintaining of records.
- Relevant Electrical/Engineering apprenticeship or HNC equivalent.
- 18th Edition BS7671.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- A full driver's license.
- A competitive salary with overtime.
- Core working hours are 44.5 Monday to Friday.
