We are seeking a Geotechnical Site Engineer to join our dedicated ground investigation team. This role presents a fantastic opportunity to become part of Tetra Tech's robust geo-environmental division, known for its expertise and commitment to quality service.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee geotechnical and environmental site investigations primarily in the northern regions, with occasional assignments across the country.
- Engage in site supervision, ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices.
- Conduct groundwater and ground gas monitoring as part of comprehensive site assessments.
- Prepare detailed reports that clearly communicate findings and recommendations.
Essential Qualifications
- A degree in geology or a related field is required.
- Proven experience in ground investigation, including soil and rock logging according to established standards.
- Willingness to work on-site, often within close proximity to the main office, with occasional overnight stays as necessary.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, along with proficiency in IT for report writing.
- Solid understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations applicable to ground investigations.
- A valid driving license is essential.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team, demonstrating excellent interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Possession of a relevant CSCS card.
- Completion of SMSTS training.
- Training in Cat and Genny techniques.
- First Aid certification.
- Familiarity with the Openground software suite.
- Experience in preparing health and safety documentation.
- Ability to coordinate ground investigation activities, including subcontractor management.
- Security clearance is advantageous.
