CDL A Drivers Wanted for Regional Home Time

Job Summary

We are seeking experienced Class A CDL drivers to join our team at American Driver. As a regional driver, you will be responsible for hauling dry van freight in the states of Kentucky, Ohio, Michigan, and Indiana.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate a Class A CDL vehicle to transport goods in a safe and efficient manner
  • Run regional routes with a focus on home time on weekends
  • Meet or exceed customer service expectations
  • Participate in pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle is in good working condition
  • Comply with all federal and state regulations regarding hours of service, weight limits, and other safety protocols
Requirements
  • Valid Class A CDL with at least 6 months of recent experience
  • Minimum 120 hours of recent driving experience in a trucking school
  • No DOT preventable accidents in the last 5 years
  • No more than 2 preventable incidents
  • Cannot have been terminated from last job due to safety concerns
  • No DUI in the last 5 years in a commercial vehicle
  • Never have failed a DOT or refused a drug/alcohol test
Benefits
  • Pay based on experience from $0.55cpm up to $0.64cpm
  • $50 short haul pay
  • $1300-$1500 per week average
  • Full benefits that kick in after 60 days, including medical, dental, 401K, and PTO
Training and Development
  • Training period for trainees is OTR
  • Trainees are paid $650/week
  • Training in duration of 46 weeks
