About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic individual to manage and develop our smallholding at Holt Heath, Worcestershire. As Farming Manager, you will be responsible for running day-to-day activities at the farm, managing and maintaining the site, and delivering programs to small groups of students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and develop the small holding, including animal care and vegetable production
  • Facilitate students' and visitors' exposure to small-scale farming and food production
  • Develop a vision for the smallholding that aligns with the Academy's and Top Barn Trust's visions
  • Ensure the smallholding is financially viable and environmentally sustainable
  • Work with Broadway staff to deliver teaching and learning programs
  • Support the delivery of the Aspiration program to re-engage disaffected students
Requirements

You will have relevant agriculture/horticulture qualifications (Level 4 or above), experience working in a farming/horticulture environment, and a track record of working independently. You will also have experience working with young people, including coaching or instructing, and be able to forge strong relationships with partners.
