About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Commercial Litigation Specialist to join our Digital Legal Delivery team in Belfast. In this role, you will play a key part in providing exceptional legal services to our clients, leveraging your expertise in commercial litigation to deliver innovative and effective solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive legal advice and representation to clients on a wide range of commercial disputes.
  • Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support case strategy development.
  • Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and contracts.
  • Manage all aspects of litigation proceedings, from initial client intake to trial and appeal.
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues, clients, and external stakeholders.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Qualified solicitor in England and Wales (or willing to requalify).
  • 5+ years of post-qualification experience in commercial litigation. Exceptional candidates with less than 5 years' relevant experience will be considered.
  • Proven ability to present complex legal issues clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing.
  • Strong analytical skills and sound judgment.
  • Excellent IT literacy and proficiency in legal software applications.
  • Experience managing junior lawyers or legal staff.

Desirable Skills and Experience

  • Experience working in a commercial legal environment, ideally within a private practice law firm.
  • Project management experience, including leading teams and managing direct reports.
  • Expertise in managing large-scale disclosure exercises in litigation or contentious regulatory matters.
  • Proven experience in designing volume claims delivery processes and workflows.
  • Familiarity with document review software and case management systems.
