Job Title: Emea Logistics Manager

We are seeking an experienced Emea Logistics Manager to join our team at Strive Supply Chain LLP. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for managing the logistics function across Emea, ensuring the smooth delivery of products to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Manage the distribution of products from suppliers to customers, encompassing core warehouse functions, purchasing, customers, finance, and suppliers.
  2. Direct, lead, and motivate the logistics team, including managing the Warehouse Manager, Service Manager, and Inbound Logistics Manager.
  3. Develop succession planning and ensure the highest level of site H&S across all areas.
  4. Manage stock levels to drive efficient use of space, cash, and stock management, in conjunction with purchasing and stock management teams.
  5. Drive the most efficient functional use of the automated warehouse by fully utilizing advanced warehouse management systems and developing a culture of staff engagement and continuous improvement.
  6. Maximize operational capacity and efficiency of the warehouse with a focus on continual improvement.
  7. Review and manage the current 3PL transport mix, including cost vs performance, and current SLAs.
  8. Ensure effective flow of information between purchasing, logistics, warehousing, and communication flow with sales, finance, sales forecasting, and marketing teams.
  9. Drive Supply Chain performance and relationship improvement in line with operational goals, specifically to optimize delivery processing and stock turn in the automated environment.
  10. Lead by example, provide leadership/line management to direct and indirect reports, ensure teams are optimally set up to deliver required results, optimize teamwork and staff performance through motivation and through training, learning, and development.
  11. Be the face of the site and lead client and supplier visits.
  12. Instill the highest customer service standards and have a clear understanding of the company's policies and vision and how the logistics function contributes to these.
  13. Manage the logistics budget with responsibility for financial and operational performance reporting, analysis, and metrics measurement.
Requirements:
  1. Must be people-driven at all levels.
  2. Will have run a complex, fast-moving operation – ideally an automated warehouse. Exposure to fast-moving, multi-SKU, time-critical, complex operations.
  3. Highly knowledgeable on all aspects – especially planning for increased volumes, mechanical/electrical issues, all related software limits, etc.
  4. Evidence of establishing a culture of continuous improvement.
  5. Will have knowledge of cost vs performance across outsourced transport suppliers, including rationalization/SLAs reviews.
  6. Strong on all aspects of the financials, including setting and managing budgets, making commercial decisions, and presenting data/reports to the main board.
  7. Proven experience of KPI analysis and improvement – this must include challenging poor performance and selling a route forward to improve.
  8. Must have managed or worked cross-functionally with other core areas, including purchasing, sales, customer services, main board, H&S, etc.
  9. Able to combine being hands-on and taking a step back when needed.
