About the JobThe Senior Applications Engineer is responsible for bringing together engineering and design content for customer proposals and work orders. They will act as the primary liaison for the customer, interpreting specifications and design requirements to develop engineered solutions. They will instruct and guide design team members, check assembly drawings for accuracy, and assist other Application Engineers with advanced analysis techniques.
Key Responsibilities- Analyze product designs using Dover Precision Components tools and practices, interpreting results and determining optimum solutions for customers' requirements.
- Develop close working relationships with key customers' technical contacts, ensuring business opportunities are recognized and responded to appropriately.
- Support the development of advanced analysis techniques, such as FEA, CFD, and rotordynamics, and perform as required.
- Support the New Product Development team in creating analytical methods for new products and product enhancements.
- Interpret designs, assist/instruct Designers, perform engineering calculations, and expedite engineering changes.
- Accountable for the successful completion of engineering projects.
- Assist in the preparation of engineering project proposals.
- Participate in client/contractor meetings and resolve client/engineering and management project issues.
- Ensure effective liaison within the Engineering group to build and maintain high engineering standards.
