Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist to join our team at Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our Urgent Care Team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality psychiatric assessments and interventions to young people presenting at Hillingdon Hospital Emergency Department and those admitted to paediatric and adult medical wards.
Key Responsibilities- Provide psychiatric assessments and interventions to young people presenting at Hillingdon Hospital Emergency Department and those admitted to paediatric and adult medical wards.
- Develop and lead on the development of the Tier service (Urgent Care Outreach Service) for Hillingdon.
- Contribute to the monthly senior management meetings for the local CAMHS as well as the crisis pathway.
- Take a lead role, together with the urgent care team lead, in developing joint crisis pathways and protocols with the acute hospital.
- Provide clinical supervision to psychiatry trainees and speciality doctors contributing to the work of the UCT on a case by case basis as needed.
- Full registration with the General Medical Council (GMC) with a licence to practice.
- Section 12 MHA Approved.
- Approved Clinician status (or undertaking to obtain this on taking up the post).
- Membership of Royal College of Psychiatrist (MRCPsych) or equivalent qualifications/certification.
- Listed on the Specialist Register of the GMC Medical Register for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (or eligible to register within six months of interview date).
