About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Practitioner, Occupational Therapist to join our Community Occupational Therapy Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for undertaking outcome-focused assessments to identify interventions that will maintain or promote optimum independence and reduce risk as appropriate to individuals.
Key Responsibilities
- Undertake outcome-focused assessments to identify interventions that will maintain or promote optimum independence and reduce risk as appropriate to individuals.
- Develop and implement effective treatment plans to achieve optimal outcomes for service users.
- Work autonomously, particularly in complex situations, and demonstrate advanced clinical reasoning skills.
- Lead on specific service development activities, such as specific needs housing, building design, manual handling, and postural management.
- Collaborate with other stakeholders, both formal and informal, to maximize positive outcomes for individuals.
- Provide leadership and support to staff, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- SCQF level 9 qualification in Occupational Therapy or equivalent.
- Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
- Significant relevant post-qualification experience with evidence of transferable skills.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to use expert clinical reasoning to make independent decisions.
