Compensation: Up to £43,000 base salary + performance bonus – OTE £56,000 - £60,000

Employment Type: Full Time and Permanent - 42.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Saturday Work: 1 in 4 Saturdays (overtime paid)

Our client is a distinguished automotive retailer representing high-end car brands, operating a network of 30 establishments that provide sales, service, and accident repair across multiple regions.

Founded in 1931, this family-owned enterprise has thrived through three generations, establishing a reputation for excellence and innovation.

We are seeking a proficient Senior Automotive Technician with a robust technical background in a franchised dealership setting.

The well-regarded premium brand dealership is currently experiencing exceptional performance and is eager to welcome a skilled technician to contribute to its continued success. You will collaborate with an experienced service leader and benefit from manufacturer training, a supportive environment, and ample work to maintain productivity.

As a Senior Automotive Technician, you will possess the expertise to diagnose system malfunctions, rectify issues (including component replacements), and restore vehicle systems to meet manufacturer specifications.

Our client is open to applications from seasoned technicians with experience in franchised dealerships, particularly those familiar with VAG Group brands.

They are also considering applications from experienced Diagnostic Technicians.

A valid UK driving license and personal tools are required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize your technical expertise to perform repairs and maintenance on customer vehicles, encompassing both minor and major mechanical tasks.
  • Execute comprehensive electrical and engine repair work.
  • Engage with customers to discuss vehicle issues and necessary repairs when required.
  • Conduct road tests on customer vehicles post-repair.
  • Employ advanced diagnostic tools to identify faults pertinent to the franchise brand.
  • Complete Vehicle Health Checks (VHC) ensuring video completion meets targets and exceeds all VHC KPIs.

Qualifications:

  • Technical proficiency to confidently and safely perform repairs and maintenance on customer vehicles.
  • Demonstrated capability and confidence in utilizing workshop systems and equipment.
  • Experience in a franchise dealership adhering to the highest quality standards.
  • Proven track record of meeting productivity targets.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team to achieve optimal customer outcomes.
  • Qualified with Level 3 Vehicle Maintenance and Repair certification.
  • Ability to mentor and coach apprentices and support less experienced colleagues.
  • Full and valid driving license.
