About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated midwife to join our core team at Maidstone Birth Centre. As a midwife specialist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to women and pregnant people, promoting normality and supporting their choices in place of birth.
Key Responsibilities
As a midwife at Maidstone Birth Centre, you will be responsible for providing low-risk intrapartum care in community settings, working closely with the wider multi-disciplinary team to ensure the highest standards of care. You will also be expected to participate in an on-call system for the birth centre and be willing to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to have completed a preceptorship programme and achieved midwifery competencies such as cannulation, water birth, and suturing. You will also need to have a sound knowledge of recent Government/Professional documents and be able to demonstrate motivation to maintain professional development.
