About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Cred Supervisor to join our team at HMP Highpoint, a Category C and Adult male prison. As a Cred Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in the smooth and safe operation of the prison estate, working alongside experienced and passionate colleagues to create a safe and nurturing environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise staff and manage small-scale refurbishments and projects
  • Utilize your trade or building qualification to complete maintenance works within the prison estate
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve objectives and overcome challenges
  • Advocate for fair treatment and opportunity for all prisoners
  • Build, advocate for, and implement projects that support prisoner rehabilitation
Requirements
  • Understanding of prisons and prisoner working systems or a willingness to learn
  • Knowledge of working safely and putting health and safety principles into practice
  • Experience in managing small-scale refurbishments and projects
  • Experience of supervising staff
  • Trade or building qualification of some description
