About the Role:
The Assistant Store Manager is a key member of the store management team, responsible for supporting the Store Manager in the day-to-day operations of the store. This includes managing the store's inventory, supervising staff, and ensuring excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Store Operations: Assist the Store Manager in overseeing the store's operations, including inventory management, stock control, and visual merchandising.
- Staff Management: Supervise and develop a team of retail staff, providing guidance and support to ensure excellent customer service and sales performance.
- Customer Service: Ensure that customers receive a high level of service, responding to queries and resolving any issues in a professional and courteous manner.
- Performance Management: Assist the Store Manager in setting and achieving sales targets, monitoring performance, and implementing plans to improve sales and customer service.
- Store Maintenance: Assist in maintaining the store's appearance, including cleaning, maintenance, and repairs.
Requirements:
- Experience: Proven experience in a retail management role, with a strong understanding of store operations and customer service.
- Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with staff, customers, and other stakeholders.
- Leadership: Ability to lead and motivate a team, with a strong focus on developing and supporting staff.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to analyze problems and implement solutions, with a focus on improving sales and customer service.
What We Offer:
- Competitive Salary: £35,625 - £43,440 per annum, plus a London allowance of £1,935.
- Flexible Working Hours: 40 or 45-hour contracts, with flexible working hours to suit your needs.
- Annual Leave: 4 weeks annual leave, plus bank holidays, rising to 5 weeks after 2 years.
