Position Summary

Groovy Gecko is seeking several skilled Technical Webcast Producers for an upcoming project. This role is essential for managing and executing live online events, ensuring a seamless experience for a diverse audience.

*IMPORTANT NOTE* This position is focused on technical production; candidates should have relevant experience in live event streaming.

Based in our vibrant office environment, this role is ideal for a proactive individual who possesses a strong understanding of live audio-visual streaming, particularly in a corporate context. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality online sessions for a prestigious organization, engaging with a global audience.

The ideal candidate will thrive in a collaborative setting, demonstrating excellent communication skills and a commitment to punctuality. This role requires a blend of technical expertise and interpersonal skills, making it essential for the candidate to be both tech-savvy and personable.

Key Qualifications


• Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in live event streaming within a dynamic environment.


• Proficiency with Teams Live Event, Zoom Webinar, or Webex Webinar.


• Experience with VMix vision mixing or similar software (e.g., Wirecast, Tricaster).


• Solid understanding of live online video streaming processes.


• Comfortable interacting with clients via video and phone.


• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.


• Familiarity with broadcast signal workflows and routing.


• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.


• Eagerness to learn new technologies and skills.


• Customer service-oriented mindset.


• Capacity to multitask during live events.


• Attention to detail is crucial.


• Proficient in computer applications, including Windows OS, Office Suite (Excel), and Google Suite.


• Basic networking knowledge.

Responsibilities


• Configure and test streaming setups using MS Teams.


• Liaise with clients to ensure their needs are met.


• Operate webcasting equipment efficiently.


• Manage encoders, audio and video feeds, slide synchronization, Q&A moderation, and interactive polls.


• Monitor webcast rehearsals and live events internally.


• Independently manage webcast events to a high standard.

Preferred Skills (Training Provided)


• Knowledge of Microsoft Teams Event functions, including input and configuration from external sources (NDI).


• Understanding of streaming protocols such as SRT, RTMP, and HLS.


• Experience in vision mixing for virtual and hybrid events.


• Familiarity with live interactive/polling software like Vevox or Slido.


• Proficiency in troubleshooting Windows OS.


• Good understanding of networking principles.
