Deputy Head of School for Science, Technology, Engineering & Professional

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Head of School to join our team at Blue Octopus Recruitment. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the Head of School in leading the School of Science, Technology, Engineering & Professional, and contributing to the College Management Group.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Head of School in communicating policies and procedures to staff and ensuring their implementation.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of strategies to improve student outcomes, particularly in securing high grades and improving teaching, learning, and assessment.
  • Support the teaching team in monitoring and improving student progress, and provide guidance on employability skills and work-related learning.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Curriculum to ensure the delivery of key priorities and contribute to the development of the College's curriculum.

Requirements:

  • Knowledge and understanding of apprenticeships and their role in education.
  • Experience in leadership and management, particularly in a school or educational setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with staff, students, and external partners.
  • Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions to improve student outcomes.
