JOB TITLE: Safety and Security Specialist

LOCATION: The Dolphin Centre, Poole

PAY RATE: £12.94 per hour

SHIFT PATTERN: 4 on 4 off, 42 hours per week, temporary contract

OVERVIEW OF JOB DESCRIPTION

An exciting opportunity has emerged at the Dolphin Shopping Centre in Poole, where we are seeking a dedicated Safety and Security Specialist to join our team at ABM on a temporary basis. This role has the potential to transition into a permanent position.

The position entails a 42-hour work week on a 4 on, 4 off schedule, encompassing daytime, late evening, and weekend shifts. You will be compensated for 12-hour shifts while only working 10-hour shifts.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Ensure a secure and safe environment for patrons and staff by conducting regular patrols and monitoring activities within the premises.
  • Act as a security point of contact for customers and employees.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service at all times.
  • Prevent anti-social behavior, theft, and other criminal activities.
  • Collaborate with law enforcement and management as necessary.
  • Document incidents and observations by completing detailed reports.
  • Handle challenging situations with professionalism and safety in mind.
  • Maintain a polished and professional appearance in accordance with ABM's uniform and grooming standards.

Key Skills and Experience Required:

  • SG or DS license is essential; CCTV knowledge is a plus.
  • A comprehensive five-year checkable employment or educational history.
  • Experience in corporate or retail security is preferred.
  • Background in customer service is advantageous.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Basic proficiency in MS Office applications.
  • Valid First Aid at Work certification is desirable.
  • Well-groomed with high standards of presentation.
  • Friendly and approachable demeanor with a proactive attitude.
  • Dependable and punctual.
  • Reference ID: 42 Hour Contract with payment for 12-hour shifts.
  • Job Types: Full-time, Permanent.
