JOB TITLE: Safety and Security Specialist
PAY RATE: £12.94 per hour
SHIFT PATTERN: 4 on 4 off, 42 hours per week, temporary contract
OVERVIEW OF JOB DESCRIPTION
An exciting opportunity exists for a Safety and Security Specialist to join our dedicated team at ABM UK. This role is pivotal in ensuring the safety and security of our premises and the individuals within them.
This position involves a 42-hour work week on a rotating schedule of 4 days on and 4 days off. You will be compensated for 12-hour shifts while only working 10-hour shifts.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
- Ensure a secure environment for customers and staff by actively patrolling and monitoring the premises.
- Act as a primary security contact for both customers and employees.
- Deliver exceptional customer service at all times.
- Prevent anti-social behavior, theft, and other criminal activities.
- Collaborate with law enforcement and management as necessary.
- Document incidents and observations accurately through detailed reporting.
- Handle challenging situations with professionalism and composure.
- Maintain a polished and professional appearance, adhering to the company's uniform and grooming standards.
Key Skills and Experience Required
- SG or DS license is essential; CCTV knowledge is advantageous.
- A comprehensive five-year checkable employment or education history.
- Experience in corporate or retail security is preferred.
- Background in customer service is beneficial.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Basic proficiency in MS Office applications.
- Valid First Aid at Work certification is desirable.
- Well-groomed with high standards of personal presentation.
- Friendly and approachable demeanor with a proactive attitude.
- Dependable and punctual.
