Associate Director, Capital and Financial Markets Development

The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Associate Director to join its Capital and Financial Markets Development (CFMD) team. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the Director, CFMD, in the development of financial and capital markets in the EBRD's countries of operation.
Key Responsibilities:- Support the design of policy dialogue with relevant stakeholders to promote capital markets and financial sector development.
- Assist in the coordination of development activities in line with comparative advantages in relation to the relevant stakeholders.
- Represent the Bank in international policy forums and initiatives when appropriate.
- Support the design and coordination of TC projects with internal and external counterparts to support reforms or specific transactions in the financial sector or capital markets.
- Participate in the organisation of conferences, workshops and seminars on specific topics relating to the Bank's CFMD strategy.
- Hands-on experience working with a wide range of financial and/or capital market products.
- Experience in local currency and capital market product design, including funding and hedging and derivative market development.
- Knowledge of the various market and/or policy participants in the global capital/financial markets and emerging markets in particular.
- Proven project management experience, preferably related to financial sector development in transition economies.
- Strong communication skills, both oral and in writing, in English and, preferably, in one or more languages of EBRD's countries of operations.
