Associate Director, Capital and Financial Markets Development

The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) is seeking an experienced professional to join its Capital and Financial Markets Development team as an Associate Director. This role will support the Director, CFMD in developing financial and capital markets in the EBRD's countries of operation, including transaction support, policy dialogue, and capacity building.
Key Responsibilities:- Design and implement policy dialogue with stakeholders to promote capital markets and financial sector development.
- Support the Director, CFMD in establishing next steps for EBRD's contribution to financial market development in specific countries.
- Identify areas for improvement in financial and capital market systems.
- Coordinate development activities with stakeholders to align with comparative advantages.
- Represent the EBRD in international policy forums and initiatives.
- Participate in organizing conferences, workshops, and seminars on capital and financial market development.
- Support the Director, CFMD in representing the EBRD in high-level policy-making bodies.
- Develop strategies, policies, and diagnostic tools across EBRD activities, countries, and sectors.
- Manage a small team, including recruitment, performance management, coaching, and development.
- Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related fields.
- Hands-on experience with financial and capital market products, including debt, equity, and derivatives.
- Experience in local currency and capital market product design, including funding and hedging.
- Knowledge of market and policy participants in global capital and financial markets.
- Proven project management experience in financial sector development.
