Job Description:We are seeking a reliable and experienced Cover Supervisor to join our team at Teaching Personnel. As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising students in the absence of a teacher, ensuring classroom management and discipline are maintained, and delivering pre-prepared work to students.
Key Responsibilities:- Supervise students in the classroom, promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Manage classroom behavior and maintain a safe and respectful atmosphere
- Deliver pre-prepared work to students, ensuring they stay on task and engaged
- Support and assist students with their learning, providing individualized attention when needed
- Follow school policies and procedures, maintaining confidentiality and discretion
- GCSEs or equivalent in English and Maths
- Experience working with children or young adults, preferably in an educational setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students and staff
- Teaching Assistant qualification
- First Aid certification
- Working hours typically follow school hours, with flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances
- May require standing for extended periods, with regular breaks to maintain energy and focus
- Interaction with students, teachers, and school staff, requiring strong communication and interpersonal skills

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
