Our client is a prestigious healthcare charity dedicated to enhancing the nation's bone health and preventing osteoporosis. Their mission involves influencing healthcare providers, delivering essential services to beneficiaries, and driving impactful research.

This role presents an exciting opportunity to serve as a key ambassador for the charity, overseeing engagement with individuals who have lived experiences and managing a network of volunteers. Your efforts will contribute to a comprehensive program aimed at providing support, disseminating information, and raising public awareness about osteoporosis.

As a vital member of the central team, reporting directly to the Head of Volunteering & Public Engagement, you will be tasked with the stewardship of volunteers across the UK. Your leadership will be crucial in managing advocate networks, which includes responsibilities for recruitment, training, and the development of volunteers with lived experience, such as Patient Advocates and community advocates.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the recruitment, induction, and training processes for volunteers.
  • Implement co-production and co-design principles in volunteer engagement.
  • Enhance the volunteer experience and broaden the diversity of the volunteering network.
  • Communicate effectively with various audiences, both verbally and in writing.
