Position Overview

Key Responsibilities:

The Marketing Assistant, reporting to the Senior Group Marketing Manager, plays a vital role in supporting the UKI marketing team with various initiatives, events, and communications. This position is essential for providing administrative and logistical assistance for marketing and sales events in collaboration with the events team. The Marketing Assistant will also aid in the creation, approval, and distribution of marketing materials and facilitate customer communications through digital platforms.

Event Coordination:

  • Assist the Marketing Events Specialist in organizing local customer events, including preparing agreements, processing purchase orders, and ensuring compliance with established processes.
  • Support the Marketing Events Specialist at tradeshows as needed.
  • Provide logistical assistance to the sales team regarding Truck system bookings.

Marketing Communication:

  • Act as the primary contact and project coordinator for customer-facing marketing communication initiatives, collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Manage direct customer communications through digital channels.
  • Initiate and oversee the content creation process, ensuring materials are tailored for the UK & Ireland markets.
  • Collaborate with branding and design teams across Europe and globally.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for all submissions via the Content Management System.
  • Effectively prioritize and manage multiple projects and tasks using project tracking systems to ensure high-quality collaboration within the EU Marketing team and the US global creative team.
  • Work alongside commercial and regional marketing teams on customer training events, assisting with presentation communications as necessary.

Administrative Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate logistics for the production and delivery of promotional materials for scheduled events, managing production within budget and liaising with key vendors.
  • Prepare contracts, establish new vendor accounts, process purchase orders and invoices, and obtain necessary approvals.
  • Organize speaker fee agreements and arrange travel and accommodation for speakers as required.
  • Manage customer surveys, leads, and contacts to maintain accurate records within the CRM system and email marketing database.
Qualifications

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Degree or equivalent experience in event management or marketing, ideally gained in a dynamic, international environment.
  • 1-2 years of experience in event management and/or marketing.
  • Fluency in English, both spoken and written.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, with the ability to engage with various departments and customers.
  • Self-motivated with proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and HTML, and experience with content management systems.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Adept at coordinating projects, prioritizing tasks, and managing multiple responsibilities.
  • Reliable, flexible, and detail-oriented.
  • Willingness to travel up to 10%-15% as required.
