Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Teaching Assistant to join our team at Findern Primary School, part of Derbyshire County Council. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the educational needs of our students, particularly those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the class teacher in delivering high-quality education to students with SEND, both individually and in small groups.
  • Develop and implement tailored learning plans to meet the unique needs of each student.
  • Collaborate with the teaching team to ensure a cohesive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Participate in meetings and contribute to the development of educational provision for students with SEND.

Requirements

  • Previous experience supporting students with SEND, either on a 1:1 basis or in small groups.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and contribute to a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Passion for education and a commitment to delivering high-quality teaching and learning experiences.
