About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Paediatric Physiotherapist to join our cardiothoracic physiotherapy team at the Freeman Hospital. As a specialist physiotherapist, you will work with a highly complex and varied patient group, providing high-quality physiotherapy care and advice to patients, families, and carers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive physiotherapy assessments, treatments, and advice to patients with cardiothoracic conditions.
  • Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of physiotherapy services and policies.
  • Participate in education and training programs to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Contribute to the quality improvement and audit processes.
Requirements
  • Degree or equivalent diploma in physiotherapy.
  • State registration with the Health and Care Professions Council.
  • Experience as a junior physiotherapist in a rotational post providing a broad range of experience across the core areas of physiotherapy.
  • Advanced knowledge of a range of medical conditions and their impact on patient's functional abilities.
  • Sound knowledge of the physiotherapy process.
  • Car driver.
  • Able to cope with physical demands of post including using wheelchairs and hoists, therapeutic moving and handling of patients and application of a range of manual therapy techniques.
  • Involvement in the Association of Chartered Physiotherapists in Paediatrics (APCP).
  • Knowledge of undertaking research and audit projects.
