Job Title: Support Worker - Learning Disabilities

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team in the West Midlands. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in enabling individuals with learning disabilities to live independently and participate fully in their communities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide person-centred support to individuals with learning disabilities, promoting their independence, wellbeing, and choice.
  • Assist with daily living tasks, such as personal care, cooking, and cleaning, as needed.
  • Support individuals to access community-based services and facilities, including public transport and local amenities.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and external professionals to ensure high-quality care and support.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of individual care plans, ensuring that each person's needs are met.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with individuals with learning disabilities, preferably in a support worker role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with service users and colleagues.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and sleep shifts, as required.
  • Basic knowledge of health and safety procedures and risk management.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.

Salary Expectations:

£11.50/hour (regular), £12.50/hour (regular nights), £13.50/hour (Saturdays), £14.50/hour (Sundays), £15.50/hour (Bank Holidays), £35 (sleep shifts).
