Position Overview:

The role of Import Customs Supervisor involves leading a dynamic and efficient team, with a competitive annual salary range of £30,000 - £35,000.

Working Hours:
Monday to Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM, with occasional Saturday mornings available for overtime compensation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the Air Imports Team to ensure that daily operational criteria and KPIs are met efficiently across all accounts.
  • Manage billing, costing, and the logistics of goods movement, ensuring timely Customs clearances and deliveries.
  • Assist the team throughout the complete import process for all shipments, ensuring a seamless operation from initiation to completion.
  • Establish and maintain strong working relationships with overseas offices, partners, and agents.
  • Ensure the department operates smoothly, providing assistance where necessary and serving as a point of contact for escalations.
  • Motivate and engage the air imports team through effective communication, goal sharing, and support for professional development.
  • Responsible for job costing to maximize profitability for the organization.
  • Act as a deputy for the Air Manager during their absence in weekly operations meetings.

Required Experience:
  • Proven experience in the EU market and customs regulations.
  • Background in customs for air imports.
  • Previous supervisory or management experience.
  • Ability to manage a diverse and busy workload while maintaining composure under pressure.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
