The successful candidate will possess a hands-on background in mechanical and electrical skills, directly related to operating within a manufacturing environment. They will be responsible for ensuring optimal equipment reliability, responding to production-line breakdowns, and working with all departments to maintain a safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Complete preventative maintenance plans to ensure equipment reliability
  • Respond to production-line breakdowns and restore production operations efficiently
  • Work with all departments to maintain a safe working environment
  • Maintain accurate records of all maintenance work completed
  • Proactively support continuous improvement programmes
  • Ensure all maintenance work is precisely detailed on our maintenance system
  • Complete work within agreed timescales
  • Work safely in line with recognised codes and practices
  • Participate in identifying and executing continuous improvement activities

Requirements:

  • Minimum NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
  • Minimum 3 years' previous experience working as an engineer in a production environment
  • Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
  • Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
