About the Role

Bellway is seeking an experienced Assistant Site Manager to join our Thames Gateway division. As a key member of our Construction team, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of a construction development site, ensuring the provision of safe, efficient, and cost-effective works at all times.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Site Manager in the day-to-day running of the development and provide clear direction to site staff regarding their responsibilities and targets.
  • Assist with the management and implementation of health and safety procedures, working closely with Bellway Health and Safety Managers.
  • Motivate and support directly employed site staff, providing training, coaching, and support to improve performance.
  • Ensure site presentation is maintained at the correct standard at all times.
  • Support the Site Manager in delivering production requirements in accordance with technical and planning documentation.
  • Conform to building regulations and warranty providers' requirements.
  • Produce accurate production/progress returns and maintain site records.
Requirements
  • Experience of working as an Assistant Site Manager with a high-volume residential house builder.
  • Effective team management and leadership skills.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of health and safety and building legislation.
  • GCSE Maths and English – Grade C/4 or above (or equivalent).
  • Valid CSCS card (or equivalent).
  • Valid SSSTS certificate.
  • Valid First Aid certificate.
