About the Role

Bellway is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Site Manager to join our Thames Gateway division. As a key member of our Construction team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the successful delivery of our residential developments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Site Manager in the day-to-day running of the development, providing clear direction to site staff and ensuring the provision of safe, efficient, and cost-effective works.
  • Assist with the management and implementation of health and safety procedures, working closely with Bellway Health and Safety Managers to ensure compliance with all relevant regulations.
  • Motivate and support directly employed site staff, providing training, coaching, and support to improve performance and ensure site presentation is maintained at the correct standard.
  • Support the Site Manager in delivering production requirements, ensuring accurate production/progress returns are submitted and site records are maintained.
  • Thoroughly inspect and ensure remedial work is completed in advance of each NHBC key stage inspection.
Requirements
  • Experience of working as an Assistant Site Manager with a high-volume residential house builder.
  • Effective team management and leadership skills.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of health and safety and building legislation.
  • GCSE Maths and English – Grade C/4 or above (or equivalent).
  • Valid CSCS card (or equivalent).
  • Valid SSSTS certificate.
  • Valid First Aid certificate.
  • Construction Management – HNC Level 4, HND desirable.
