Job Title: Head of CFD

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of CFD to join our Andretti Cadillac team at the Silverstone facility. As a key member of our Aerodynamics department, you will be responsible for delivering the required CFD capability to support our aerodynamic development needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Technical lead for the CFD Methods and Process groups.
  • Develop and maintain the CFD methodology, process, and tools to ensure predictive accuracy and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with Aerodynamicists and CFD engineers to deliver a fit-for-purpose CFD process.
  • Ensure that CFD simulations and analysis are aligned with the capability of the tools.
  • Optimize, maintain, and support new and existing toolkits.
  • Contribute to the development of new technologies and applications.
  • Provide support to users of the CFD process.
  • Collaborate with the Aero department and other departments to improve whole-car performance.
Requirements:
  • Multiple years of relevant experience in a similar role within the motorsport industry.
  • Extensive knowledge of CFD methodology, process, and fundamentals.
  • Strong knowledge of fluid physics, numerical methods, and turbulence modeling.
  • Experience in programming (C++, Python, Java, or VBA) and experience with STAR-CCM+ and open-source CFD codes.
  • Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Able to perform duties in a timely manner with minimal errors.
  • Ability to line manage / lead teams effectively.
  • Strong levels of IT skills including MS Office, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
