**Job Summary**

The Lodge Porter/Receptionist will provide exceptional customer service and support to the College community. This role requires a high level of professionalism, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Assist with daily operations of the College Lodge, including provision of a professional front-of-house service.
  • Report faults and incidents, and ensure site security, including CCTV monitoring.
  • Control site access and perform a wide range of tasks as required.
  • Provide excellent customer service and communication skills to ensure a positive experience for guests and staff.
  • Assist the Lodge Manager with emergency situations, such as personal injury, fire, and security incidents.
  • Be a competent user of IT systems and applications, particularly Microsoft Office applications.

**Requirements**

  • Confident and well-presented individual with excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to work variable shifts, including nights, weekends, and bank holidays.
  • Flexibility to cover holidays, sickness, events, and training.
  • Ability to attend College at short notice.
  • First aid certificate and SIA-approved door supervision and manned guarding certificates an advantage.

**Working Conditions**

The Lodge is staffed 365 days per year. The shifts commence at 06.00 and at 18.00. The variable porter role is to cover holidays, sickness, events, and training. The hours are based on a 12-week pattern, 48 shifts over the 12 weeks.
