Chroma Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled Principal Software Compliance Engineer to join a large organisation in the heart of the Essex. This role is purely down to some new exciting projects coming to the business.
About the Role:
This is an opportunity to work in a multi-disciplined R&D team, where you will be responsible for all aspects of writing embedded code, driving firmware development & documentation within ECSS standards. You will also have the opportunity to lead a small Software team and work alongside Electronics & FPGA Engineer's.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain embedded software systems in accordance with ECSS standards
- Lead a small Software team and provide technical guidance and support
- Collaborate with Electronics & FPGA Engineer's to ensure seamless integration of software and hardware components
- Develop and implement CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards
Requirements:
- Degree qualified and 10+ years of experience in software development and compliance
- Strong knowledge of embedded C and Python programming languages
- Experience with coding to MISRA C or equivalent standards
- Knowledge of VHDL FPGA code (desirable)
- Experience with Jira and Git
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and agile development methodologies
- Aerospace or Space experience (desirable)
