We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Teacher of Humanities to join our team at Wakefield Council. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for planning and delivering an engaging curriculum that inspires all pupils to positively achieve their expected outcomes.
About the Role
The successful candidate will have a secure knowledge of the national curriculum and experience in teaching Humanities to pupils with profound and severe social, emotional, and mental health needs. You will be able to work collaboratively with our team to develop and implement personalized learning plans that cater to the diverse needs of our students.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver an engaging and inclusive Humanities curriculum that meets the needs of all pupils
- Develop and implement personalized learning plans that cater to the diverse needs of our students
- Work collaboratively with the teaching team to ensure seamless delivery of the curriculum
- Assess and report on pupil progress, identifying areas for improvement and developing strategies to address these
- Contribute to the development of the school's Humanities curriculum, including the design and implementation of new programs and initiatives
