Support Worker Role Overview

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Support Workers to join our team in Gloucester. In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting individuals with Autism, Learning Disabilities, Physical Disabilities, and Mental Health conditions. Your primary focus will be on empowering these individuals to live fulfilling lives by assisting them with their daily activities and promoting their well-being.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide personalized support to individuals based on their unique needs and preferences.
  • Encourage active participation in a range of social, recreational, and therapeutic activities.
  • Assist with personal care tasks, ensuring dignity and respect at all times.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to individual care plans and progress.
  • Collaborate effectively with other members of the care team to ensure a cohesive and supportive environment.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
  • Previous experience supporting individuals with disabilities or complex needs is highly desirable.
  • A genuine commitment to providing person-centered care and promoting individual independence.
  • Basic English literacy and numeracy skills are essential.
