Nurse - Ventilation Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Nurse - Ventilation Specialist to join our team at Rainbows Hospice for Children and Young People. As a key member of our Long-Term Ventilation and Step-Down Team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care to children and young people with complex needs, including long-term ventilation.
Key Responsibilities- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for children and young people with long-term ventilation needs.
- Lead a team of nurses and care team members in the care of children and young people with long-term ventilation needs.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each child or young person.
- Liaise with consultants, respiratory teams, and community teams to ensure seamless care transitions.
- Collaborate with other professionals to provide comprehensive care and support to children and young people and their families.
- Qualified RSCN/RN (Child Branch)/ RNLD/ RGN with post-registration experience of working with children and young people with long-term ventilation needs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with children, young people, and their families.
- Ability to demonstrate high standards of clinical care and compassion.
- Experience of teaching junior staff and/or parents clinical skills.
