We are seeking a dedicated and empathetic individual to join our team as a Complex Needs Support Assistant in Scarborough. As a key member of our team, you will provide essential support to students with complex learning needs, helping them to develop independence and confidence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with complex learning needs
- Assist in implementing personalized learning and care plans
- Support the emotional, physical, and social well-being of students
- Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and healthcare professionals to create a nurturing and inclusive environment
- Help students develop independence and confidence
Requirements:
- Experience working with children or young people with complex needs (preferred but not essential)
- A patient, caring, and resilient attitude
- Ability to adapt to the individual needs of each student
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A genuine passion for supporting children with additional learning challenges
