Position Overview

Key Responsibilities
  • Advisory Role: Provide practical and commercially oriented indirect tax guidance on regional initiatives and transactions, focusing on VAT and other indirect taxes.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Cultivate and maintain effective relationships with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure prompt communication regarding transactions that may have tax compliance implications.
  • Team Development: Support, mentor, and enhance the capabilities of the indirect tax reporting team within the Tax Centre of Excellence.
  • Documentation and Analysis: Prepare comprehensive documentation and conduct analysis on significant indirect tax positions and decisions, including evaluating potential tax reserves for discussions with the Group's auditors.
  • Policy Management: Lead the documentation and administration of the Group's indirect tax policy.
  • Legislative Monitoring: Keep abreast of indirect tax legislation and its relevance to the Group, ensuring timely updates and appropriate actions to uphold compliance.
  • Technical Expertise: Maintain exceptional technical knowledge of indirect tax matters within the financial services and fintech sectors, and develop a robust commercial understanding of the industry to deliver VAT training to broader business, commercial, and finance teams.
  • Audit Management: Collaborate with the Tax Centre of Excellence to manage VAT/GST tax audits and inquiries from tax authorities.
Qualifications

Candidates should possess ACA, ACCA, CTA, or equivalent qualifications.
